    110 Off Road Insurance

Help......I've recently changed from a TD5 to a 110TDCi, my insurance is up for re-newal and due to the value of the TDCi (£22.5K) I can't get coverage for green laning or ocassional off road use. So I've got a non off roader or I take the risk. Tried Adrian Flux & Lancaster - no use!

    110 TDC1 Replacement Door Screws

I want to replace the 5 x door and bonnet fixing screws on my 110 TDCi with stainless from Stig Fasteners. Question is: do all the door fixing screws go in to captive nuts or will it be a case of when undone the nuts fall in to a never to be found again place? I could take off the door trims and...

    Finally, the new Puma!

Hi Nakkiran The Puma outscores the TD5 in most area's: 6th gear is great for motorways, cuts down on engine noise a lot The heater is much better, get's to temp in half the time I don't know if LR have tweaked the suspension but it seems to absorb bumps and pot holes better. T/C, ABS and A/C...

    Defender Diff Lock

Problem sorted, the linkage needed adjusting (as some of you said). Great service from John Craddock, phoned at 2:00, took it in at 3:00, collected it at 4:30, charged 1 hour labour. Probably caused by lack of use. Cheers all for your comments.

    Defender Diff Lock

Thanks for the suggestions, I'll try the one wheel off the deck test but I'm pretty sure it aint locking. I tried it on hard surface last night (slowly) in and out of lock, absolutely no difference to the "feel".

    Defender Diff Lock

I took my 110 Defender TD5 off road (for the first time) on some pretty muddy hilly sections. On a couple of muddy rutted up-hill sections I got in to trouble, lost traction and had to reverse and have another go. I tried with and with out diff lock which seemed to make no difference. When I...
