    The Mrs bought a bargain...

Is the brace long enough then? What sort of weight needs to be on the end?

Runs about the same mpg as my old 2.25 petrol One Ten by all accounts (early 20s) Why complicated GG?

Hmmm...maybe a different path... V6 Full Leather 4 new tyres 80k on the clock No issues on MOT history Still 4wd!

    Freelander 1 Decisions, decisions

One just came up on Facebook. Four door 02 plate SE with HGF. Messaged the guy...is the prop on I asks...yes he replies...yippee I thought. Checked through the MOT history and noticed an advisory for missing prop shaft. Asked him when he put it on...sorry, whats the prop again I got confused was...

So probably best to ignore both of these and look for a higher spec one with the rear prop on.

    Freelander 1 Decisions, decisions

I figured that with a 1.8 I'd be best off doing the head gasket straight off anyway, so the Ultimate kit price of about £300 needs to be added on to the sale price of a 1.8 either way...especially as 70k seems to be the benchmark for HGF on these K Series. I hear you with regards the 4WD side...

    Freelander 1 Decisions, decisions

Morning folks, or is it afternoon? I really like the look of the 3 door F1 and have pretty much decided on a 1.8 (yeah, I know). There's a GS local to me for sale for about £250 with 140k on the clock, 3 door, in black. And there's an ES (looks ES anyway) not too far away but it's 5 door but...

Freelander 1 TD4 or 1.8 and short runs

That's interesting Nodge, at the expense of mpg because you are using some of the fuel to heat the Engine? Most users seem to think they get an improvement but I'm guessing that's over longer distances?

Freelander 1 TD4 or 1.8 and short runs

In the boot GG. They don't need much to run.

Freelander 1 TD4 or 1.8 and short runs

Would a FBH be beneficial for a 1.8 to warm the engine up before you warm the engine up?

Freelander 1 TD4 or 1.8 and short runs

GG drives em 2wd too...but don't tell anyone shhh

Freelander 1 TD4 or 1.8 and short runs

Nodge, if I was doing about 5 or 6 miles to work would a 1.8 be a really bad choice?

    Moving forward?

I think it was just a comment about there being a bit of surface rust

    Moving forward?

It's only got cloth interior but it's in good condition from what I've seen. No tears or the likes. Exterior looks tidy too...though there was a mention of a rust advisory on a previous MOT...nothing since except the usual suspects.

    Moving forward?

Thanks Nodge68. So what starts out as a £200 bargain quickly loses its shine. Still...It's MOTd until September so has some pluses going for it.
