Manual to Electric seats on P38

It's been a while since I have done any work on my P38's seats, however, in theory you should be able to have the electric seats if you have the highline BeCM - im not sure what the spec of a 95 BeCM would be, however, if it has the H on then im sure you can get them in ok. Anyway, you need to...

    gearbox overheat

I would suggest downloading RAVE so you know how to do things in future, or, at the very least, have a basic understanding of what you need to do before asking :) To change the gearbox temp sensor - remove the front bumper, two bolts, two clips and then flip the wheel arch trims over the edges...

    diesel fuel pump

If it's a P38, you will need to drop the tank. No other way to do it short of cutting a hole in the floor of the body. Most easily done on a ramp with as little fuel left in it as possible. It's not particuarly hard, just time consuming. -Wills :)

    Do you flash or wave?

Always give a wave to RRC's or P38's but never L322's or L320's. Most people give a wave back but some either pretend not to have seen or give a completely blank look. I always stop and try and help any broken down P38 too. Have made quite a few friends doing that. When it's the...

P38 2.5 DSE no more than 10mph after 2 mins driving

Do you get any warning lights, does it stall. Need more info really. In the valet was anything steam cleaned, like the engine bay or carpets?? Sounds a bit like my fuel shut off solenoid got stuck and I couldn't drive above 40ish - I had the injector warning light on for that though. -Will :)

    highest mileage p38?

It did have a power box until around 190ishK when it stopped working and caused really bad idling issues and cutting out. It turned out water had got into the box and ruined it. It was an old type of box anyway and was not the new 'all-digital' type and rather than having an electrical...

im pretty sure there is no extra setting to turn on - dont have my rovacom to hand at the moment. im not sure the wiring will be there though if you don't have the light already though. easiest way to know is to just pop off the trim and take a look. -Wills

2000 vogue with harmon kardon and parrot car kit help please

Flo, The lead you want is from Soundlinx and the model number is RAN01NOK if you have the Clarion head unit and RAN02NOK if you have the Alpine head unit. Dashmount don't seem to sell these anymore so you will need to have a search online. These leads properly mute the stereo and play the...

Anyone having trouble after installing an aftermarket stereo on their R38? 2002

so it's a 2002 P38?? If it has the Harman Kardon sound system, which I think most late P38's came with by this point, then it's not as simple as just replacing the head unit. Do you have Harman Kardon written on the speaker grills or on the radio anywhere?? -Will :)

    P38 DSE Overheating (yet another)

Be careful - I would put a new head or a known, second hand good one on there - I had this problem, head tested fine but it would still overheat under load. In the end we concluded it was a hairline crack that only openned up under load. Replaced the head and it was then ok. Good luck -Will :)

    P38 DSE Overheating (yet another)

I had problems like you describe with an aftermarket rad. It was missing it's baffle which sits in the centre of the rad at the top. The function of this small plastic piece is to stop coolant coming in one side and then going straight along the top and out the other side without passing...

p38 show car up for auction

except for the fooked up install of the LPG filling pipe in the rear. who the hell decided that it would be a good idea to drill a hole randomly in the rear panel and then just take the most direct route the the tank?! -Wills :)
