Hi i have the same problem with my dads td4 same as you replaced the in tank fuel pump car runs perfect again but the light will not go out, had it to dealers they put it on the computer which confirmed in tank fuel pump put the light out and as soon as the car was restarted the light came back...

hi If you are not mechanically minded then i would not start on replacing a clutch you will probally be best to follow kieths advice and ring round for some quotes good luck Gordon

Hi I would doubt this would be the end of recon irds there are a lot of freelanders out there and these irds do tend to be problematic i think it will just be a matter of time before another company fills the gap left by the company going bust Cheers Gordon

Hi Gwyn fuel filter is easy to spot rear left behind the fuel burning heater as for good mechanics in your area dont know sorry hope you get it sorted Gordon

hi my dads td4 2001 reversing lights have stopped working the rear wiper still works when the front ones are on and reverse is engaged does this rule out the reversing light switch and if so do the two reversing lights have a common earth which could be the problem :) Thank you in advance Gordon

Hi if you do a search for Rave you can download a good workshop manual and i am sure you will find the location of the second bleed screw. mine is a TD4 so i am not sure Hope this helps Gordon

Hi Jeff I have a 2001 td4 and my fbh pump clicks when it is cold ie the fbh is running and my engine runs fine think this clicking could be a red herring and not connected to your uneven running Cheers Gordon

Hi You can get an i.s.o adapter cable on flea-bay for a few quid and then you can put in nay cd radio of any colour you choose 15 minute job when you get the adapter lead:) Gordon

Hi My TD4 has done 110k and still drives like new they are a good motor I use mine for work everyday all ,tow a caravan it is basically never off the road Just take some time to look through the forum and do your homework so you have better knowledge when you look at freelanders Good luck...

Hi I dont know about the flr 2 but i know my flr 1 does not like reversing with the caravan on the back i think they are quite high geared in reverse and so a bit more clutch slip is evident Sorry i could not be of more help Gordon

I have exactly the same problem on my dads td4 had it to land rover garage to go on diagnostic computer which shows fault fuel lift pump ie one in tank this has been replaced and engine management light is still on and showing same fault they suggested a fault in the ecu so for now i am leaving...

Hi i put in the egr bypass and i have covered about 20,000 miles no ill effects and a noticable difference in running just about to put one in my dads freelander too :) Hope this helps Gordon
