P38A Looking for EAS delay timer relay

Kind of silly to need to do it every 6 hours and can't think of why the car needs to be actively leveled whilst parked. What if you lived on the side of a hill? Might as well do it when you start up. Anyway, have found it on ebay. Thanks again everyone.

P38A Looking for EAS delay timer relay

Ok this is interesting. So what does the delay timer relay actually do and how does it do it? I'm guessing from your post that the original is a standard relay plus a little PCB board (hence the long box)? So while I can replace the relay I won't get all the functionality without the PCB?

P38A Looking for EAS delay timer relay

What's wrong is its missing. :D Car is still a working hack out here and can be up in remote locations sometimes. It had an AC problem and some essentially bush mechanics got under the dash and patched things up. Did a good job. I had removed the timer relay the night before to check for a...

P38A Looking for EAS delay timer relay

Hi all, ANR 4652, previously ANR4387. This seems no longer to be available new although I did find one on eBay. Was just wondering if anyone has a tip on where I might find new OR knows what relay is inside? Is there a generic relay that I might be able to substitute? @wammers, mate, any...

    P38A Fuel pump refurb question

Cheers mate. I had to take a trip for work so I'm away from the car for a week. Will give this a go and shout back when I return. Have a good week!

    P38A Fuel pump refurb question

Fantastic, cheers! Shall wait with bated breath. Regards to Mrs. Shocker. edit. Actually, another thought as you said you've done it on Classics. In your opinion, when you put the top back on and it locks in place with the plastic tabs, do you think it makes a seal? I'm leaning towards...

    P38A Fuel pump refurb question

Cheers, Grrrrrr. So seeing several suggestions that sealing isn't essential. Intriguing. For arguments sake, what's the risk? I'm imagining sparks in a flammable environment but maybe I'm just a little dark that way..

    P38A Fuel pump refurb question

Cheers shocker - ok so you reckon it doesn't need to be sealed? Can you go in to why? Because that's a fix I can certainly do. I just thought since its inside the tank and there's petrol and also fumes its a safety issue.

    P38A Fuel pump refurb question

Hiya Wammers, great to hear from you. Yeah I reckon you're right. New question everyone! I don't want to buy the entire sender and pump assembly. Does anyone know the correct substitution or replacement pump unit to buy? I've been googling. Found something by Delhpi and by another brand...

    P38A Fuel pump refurb question

Hi chaps Intermittently there's no pressure at the fuel rail, am suspecting carbon brushes inside fuel pump worn. As usual being stuck in the boonies replacement is long slow option so opting to repair. But I can't get it open as the end seems crimped on...

P38A Quick one - height sensor rubber mount

Oi! I resemble that statement! :P Sadly I think that's exactly what happened. Thanks everyone for the araldite and other suggestions. Obv I intend to bodge this and not acquire a whole new radius arm, even from a breakers. What a joke.

P38A Quick one - height sensor rubber mount

Cheers for that. Just read Rave. It says "CAUTION: ensure that the rubber mounting does not become damaged". Oh well.. Guess no one yet has a P/N or can take one out of a breaker?

P38A Quick one - height sensor rubber mount

Hi all top of the weekend to you! So this is the rear leftside height sensor from my 1996. Its the earlier type. If you look closely at the bottom of the image you'll see half of a rubber mounting that appears to have shorn off. Does anyone know if this piece has a part no and can be...

P38A Like towing a loaded skip

Haha at this point I'll consider anything! Thanks for the comic relief chaps, sorely needed. Latest is, although external checks didn't throw anything up I went ahead and gutted the parking brake leaving just an empty drum. And it worked! Car now glides like an ice ballerina on her bum...

    P38A Cost of spares

Well its a fantastically comfortable ride even by today's standards. But underpowered and with crappy electronics. I think calling it a future Classic is optimistic. Just in case though, I might know of one for sale if anyone's interested.. :D :D

    P38A Cost of spares

Is it just me or are spares starting to get fairly expensive of late? Perhaps as its quite an old car and there's not as big a market anymore. I usually source from Island4x4, has anyone got another to recommend?
