You can check the continuity of the wiring from the ECU back to the sensor at the ecu. If it is a Wabco system ( with the ecu under the drivers seat )then remove plug C505 which is the plug with 9 terminals on it ,and bridge terminals 7 and 8 ( nsr )with a digital multimeter set to 2 - 10k ohms...

I sympathise with you as I have also suffered this pesky problem for some time too. Firstly have you had a code reader interogate the car or are you just going through the system blind ? I also changed out the Wabco abs modulator and the problem persisted . I was using a friends universal code...

In daylight it was apparant that the "pillers " fitted to stand off the plastic light guards had a slot deep in side them that when turned unscrewed them and then the lamp unit.
