    im actually partially retarded....

    so ive been having trouble withe my 2.5 petrol defender, it kept cutting out all the time, so iv had the carb numerous times cleaned it all out, replaced diaphragms, jets, floats, the list goes on and on and on and on...never occured to me to wack some more go go juice in it. cut a long story...

    yeah will do ratty, took it for a spin today and its been absolutely fine! is there anyway to drain and clean the tank out without dropping it out the chassis? there must be some kind of a plug surely!? if not il just never let it get down to a quarter of a tank!

    quick update, replaced the diaphragms on the carb, cleaned it all the jets and where the floats are in the carb as there was a lot of gunk hanging around, put it all back together and it ran fine, then it started cutting out in the mid range again (although not as bad this time) but i also...

    yeah cutting across the holes is what i thought and then wqeld them up again once its in place! saves a lot of time by having to take all the pedals out! cheers for advice
