Sounds like my old Unimog on startup ! LOL I would tentatively suggest an old preheater setup that burns fuel in the inlet to warm the intake air-worked lovely on my hand crank deisel boat engine-just a thought !

Hi- if it is the friction plate stuck to the flywheel/pressure plate-take off the floor area over the bellhousing n pour boiling water into either the timing hole or the gear selector bracket hole over the clutch assembly-this may-thru uneaqual expansion-free the stuck plates-no guarantee but...

Hi-After the Range Rover debacle, have repaired the Series IIA but find the speedo is knackered. I currently need the clock cw cable plus the end bit that goes in the gear box ( with three tiny screws ) as everytime I bought sepperate parts-one didn't fit with t'other :mad: S:mad:o anyone can...

This is going to be a long job- thanks for all your input, I seem to remember the speedo needle flicking when it usually started- which it does not do now Hmmmmm Q

Arrrrgh, RR V8 3.5 EFI + LPG kit Now, ran down to London in the RR, filled it up w LPG, after 40 miles started spluttering. Switched to Petrol, still spluttering. Got to Party in Finsbury. Decicided to put new plugs in, the next day. Would start after a while but plugs black.Poppping and...

Got a Tarrantini kit on mine- very good. Equiv to 36MPG, £1299 quid-not sure about surrey- try TinleyTech in cambridge. Q
