So it’s all working now, par a really strange qwerk.. there is absolutely no power until you hit 2k rpm, after you’ve hit 2k rpm you have power above and below this, it is consistently after a first start. Doesn’t matter if you rev freestanding or drive to 2k rpm, just dead until you hit it...

I read they stretched but didn’t realise it was by that noticeable amount, I’ve not really noticed it before when removing stretch bolts. the bush was in the old engine so would of had to remove to put in the new one, from what I saw they don’t come out without damage so just left it and waited

FIXED always the little things… so I checked air filter and that was fine, there was some leaves getting stuck on the maf screen!! Cleared them and full power is restored, also had the manifold skimmed today and then I refitted with a new gasket so all is well, still runs on 4 cylinders now...
