She’s now up and running it was a bad ews.. replaced the full lock kit.. now need more advise unfortunately due to my back luck it runs but doesn’t select gear says transfer box neutral on the dash it has been sat a couple of months.. thanks in advance

@kds no updates yet I’ve not given up just waiting on a dme/ews kit to be delivered I’m going to fit that if it works then the ews module was faulty should know by this weekend Fingers crossed.

@holidaychicken ive attempted it but it failed. im trying to find someone locally with testbook to have a go, ive tried earthing the engine via kump lead to negative battery post. that was unsuccessful, if i cant find anyone to re sync the ews/ecu link then ill have to buy a new lock kit..

Can anyone advise the location of the engine earth location on the TD6 engine I’ve searched high and low and can’t see anything I had a TDV8 on the ramp at work today and that had one on the back of the transfer box but I can’t see any one mine that go to engine or box.

@kds thats what I thought in my experience but this guy charges £120 P/h and I’ve used him for years in our garage with more complex electrical issues and I can say he’s not been wrong yet.. Im getting another column with correct numbers delivered tomorrow so I’ll update you !

l322 TD6 non start no crank continued, I Have just found all the maxi fuses in the glove box fuse-board charred like blacking on the fuse blades, there was only 10.8v going out of the fuse-board but 12.8 going in, I've given the fuse blades a clean and now the entire car sees 12.8 or battery...

going back to my problem ive had a code pop up ive not seen before, p/n line from immobilser short to battery, i assume this is the Park neutral line which acts as an inhibitor, am i wrong could mean something else?

the procedure is the same to my knowlage dealer supplied key just needs initialising/syncing as its pre coded to your car the only time you will find a problem if someone has previously replaced a lock kit / engine ecu and immobiliser then they dont recognise the transponder.

Yeah just tried that it just syncs the key to BCM

I doubt it will do but could be proven wrong Its worth a go and let you know the outcome
