No battery clamp!! What should be there?

Just had the same saga. Battery clamp bolt seized and the insert spinning. Had the nice man from the AA on hand anyway, so between us we chiselled the battery out using a 3 inch cold chisel. Just place the chisel between clamp and battery, two or three sharp thwacks and it breaks the edge off...

3 Amigos How to remove an ABS sensor

Nice one. I had the same problem. I thought about removing the hub but in the end due MOT running out and too much to do, I had it done at LR specialist. Expensive! The next one will be all my own work. Cheers.

    Freelander Air Con

Reviving an old thread instead of starting a new one. The Air con gas kits from Halfords are now offered with a free air con cleaner and a there is a £10 returnable deposit on the can. Result! £39 for the kit then a tenner back when you return it, bargain. Also they have UV leak detector...

    Freelander - front brakes binding

I had the same problem due to the lower pin being slightly bent. (Probably some over-zealous leverage trying to get the piston back in....) Straightened it out and now good as new.

    Rear suspension bushes

Careful what you buy on ebay. I bought an ABS sensor for £70. Lasted a couple of months. £200 for a new one from LR Dealer. Bushes are another matter I know but "buyer beware".
