My 2.4 Puma is a decade old now and only had normal wear and tear/ standard maintenance and has not let me down. In my opinion as long as you keep up with the maintenance and treat it well - it will be as reliable as any other. Maintenance to me also means opening the bonnet and looking at it...

Not the answer you want I know but I had a similar issue and ended up connecting my Dashcam to the back of the cigarette lighter by a smaller inline fuse. This comes on and off with the ignition so is as automatic as I need.

For my 2010 2.4 90 TDCI I got the 42-44cm size which fits fine.

Tend to agree. 35k -40k tops really for no matter how cherished, loved or desired it is - it is unfortunately obsolete from an emissions point of view unless you do an electric conversion later and that ain’t cheap either. Even then still won’t have airbags etc either.

I have the 2.4 Puma also. I did mine from above. Lucky my cubby box and plate came out ok. The reversing switch was ‘reasonably’ accessible with a spanner. It did still take a good two hours. Why do the switches fail though?
