Suspension drops over 50mph to bump stops

Update - I got the beast back from the garage (in for a service) yesterday after a few days of messing about with 3 wrong O2 sensors. Still the wrong one so another coming today fingers crossed. Also got a few codes up last night just after mot which I'm hoping is connected to the O2 sensor...

Suspension drops over 50mph to bump stops

Cheers backinblack I don't have my own diagnostics (any recommendations) I was thinking it was a fault as it's never done it before at those speeds. Saw a suggestion to lock the ride height and try again but a bit dubious in trying that incase i ruin a tyre. Mainly thinking doing that to...

Suspension drops over 50mph to bump stops

Shoulda mentioned, this is a new fault as I've had her 4 years without this problem before and just started doing this last week.

Suspension drops over 50mph to bump stops

Hi folks I have a 2005 L322, (06) Model) that has developed a suspension fault. The car drives fine with the suspension going up and down with no problems. As soon as the car is driven over 50mph, the air suspension lights turn off, I get an error (suspension fault) and the car slowly drops the...

    2005 L322 gearbox problem

Update : Turns out the indy says it's not a gearbox problem. Apparently my o/s cv joint is broken and that's where the noise was coming from. I'm told because it wouldn't drive that wheel the others didn't either. Cost for new oem joint/shaft £230 +vat, and warned that if it doesn't separate...

    The ZF 6HP26 Service Procedure.

Update. I got a mobile mechanic out to look at topping the oil up which he did. Unfortunately it only held 1 litre before black waste starting flowing out of it. So it's not low or dry. The black coloured fluid does cause concern though. Tried gear again and although a little quieter, still...

    2005 L322 gearbox problem

Thanks, I've only had her 8 months and hasn't had the box serviced in my time. No record of it in service book either. I hope it may be something simple as she did sound dry. I take it that'll be the first thing to do - top it up. If that's it I will definitely get it serviced. Cheers

    2005 L322 gearbox problem

Yes The Park holds and stops the grinding noise also That looks to me what it may sound like - slipping and not actually catching hold of something to drive

    2005 L322 gearbox problem

Hi folks. I'm after some advice. I was heading out about an hour ago and my gearbox started making grinding noises. It felt like the clutch slipping and I lost drive. I quickly pulled over into a car park about 50 yards away and put her into park. I tried for around 5 mins to engage gear with...

L322 2nd opinion on Ball joint costs

lol - Not much gets past these guys. I remember a time when most of the guys I worked with, sent their car to Scotland every year to get mot'd.(working for the ferry company has its perks) It was nearly a guaranteed pass. I had a leaking petrol tank in a Carlton with a piece of chewing gum...

L322 2nd opinion on Ball joint costs

I'd have thought that too but things are a lot more strict In N.I. compared to other parts of the UK. All mot centres are government run and very little room for grace is given. The only good thing about here is that you know your car (or one you are buying) is roadworthy after a pass. They...

L322 2nd opinion on Ball joint costs

Cheers Saint V8 - Mot'd for another year now anyway, so blow softened slightly. It was more the cost of what I thought was trivial repairs, but I realise now there's no such thing with an L322. It's the frequency of repairs has me worried now, hoping it's not too often, after listening to...
