To add to what you edited into your post. It’s 1968, MOD, the rad panel does not have the holes for lights. So no the holes haven’t been covered over at all. It’s the original rad panel to my knowledge. It has an underseat filled tank yes.

thanks for the diagram. i'm going to go and try to pull up the floor now. Any tips on how to work out if the resistance is mechanical or fluid? I soaked it in WD40 last week, maybe that's helped free it up if it was gunky.

Okay so I’ve had someone tell me that this is symptomatic of either a clogged or “on its way out” clutch master or slave cylinder. He’s said it’s an easy enough job. Opinions? Advice? I’ve found the master but couldn’t find the slave in the time I was out there looking.

Hi guys and gals Tried taking my 2a out but the clutch pedal won’t return. So I ordered replacement springs from craddocks. Their 2a clutch return springs. still won’t return and the springs feel less powerful than the old one so I figure it’s not a spring issue. any advice?
