Ok I have acceleration lag on my landy it kicks in at around 2 to 2.5k revs, I changed the MAF sensor but wondered the best way to find the issue, start cheap and work upwards lol

I was thinking that under normal driving conditions around town is where the economy would come in but when needed the extra bhp would kick in and off we go?

Just wondered if anyone has had a remap on their 2.2 td and was it worth it for fuel saving and performance?

Does anyone have a picture guide or help on locating vacuum hose on the 2.2 td engine so I can check they are all good? Thanks in advance

Ok finally got tround to replacing my maf sensor and whilst it has stopped some of the lag in acceleration some stil remains, amy suggestions would be gratefully received

I think I will go down the route of cleaning it first as £4-00 is a cheap fix if it works :D

I just put engine running and then pulled power supply to MAF and engine still ran which I was told means MAF not working is this right?

I am having a little lag in acceleration and wondered if it is possible to clean the MAF sensor before buying a new one as at the moment I am just trying a process of elimination before buying a new one

Thank you I will take a look at the filter first over the weekend and if this is more of a built in safety issue to stop over fuelling I assume it is ok to not worry too much?

Hi Guys Not sure that this is just a Landy issue, I have recently noticed that when I put my foot down on the pedal there seems to be a dead zone/delay before the power kicks in I would say around 2 to 3 seconds which seems an eternity when driving and wondered if anyone knew the possible cause...

Sorry the new manifold has been fitted and the blanking plate is being made rather than buying one, I let my mechanic worry about the details but like I said I trust him and he does all my work for me

I picked up a manifold which was spotless and the blanking plate is going on with it a week today fingers crossed but thanks for the heads up about the gunk build up, the mechanic said everything was very clean which was nice and I do trust him which is good in these days of Oooooooh, oh...

Just found out my EGR valve is wasted!! My garage has removed it and blanked it off and says this is a common problem and blanking off will not do any harm and probably give better results in running and fuel economy, do we agree or not?

Thank you for that as never had a manual to check such things, I'll get someone to watch whilst try it out ;)

Are the head light washers controlled in sync with the windscreen washers on a freelander 2? Not sure that mine are working and thought it may be a new pump needed?
