Hi The battery on my P38 is flat, so the key fob doesn't unlock it. Also, the lock tumbler on the door also doesn't do anything because the small metal rod that connects it to the central locking system has fallen off. So basically, how the hell can I get back into the car? Thanks

I know this has been talked about before, but I think my problem is more extreme. My 99 4.6 has drained 2 large batteries in the space of 4 hours each. The RF receiver is disconnected, and the ignition key flap closes. What could be causing such a large drain? The batteries were both 95Ah 800CCA...

Thanks for all your help. Crank, pistons and conrods from the 4.6 all going to the 4.0. Also it's thor to gems so I know the CPS and timing cover need changing. How many hours of labour roughly do you think it would take?

Yes this is what I mean. Both blocks are out of the car, I just want to know if it's a big job to get the pistons and crank from the old 4.6 into the new 4.0

I have a 4.6 thor which needs a new block (crack behind liner). I just picked up a cheap 4.0 block to replace it. I understand that the crankshaft, rods, and pistons have to be put in the 4.0 block from the 4.6. Is this a big job? Garage thought it was just a straight swap of the blocks, but...
