Ok well seeing as it's only since doing the inlet gasket, and the tank and cap are britpart cheap parts, no other signs of it being head gasket, I'm thinking cap or air still in system.

Hi guys, I replaced my inlet gasket a couple of weeks ago, now it seems after a few days the warning light comes on for coolant level and most of it has come out of the expansion tank cap at high pressure, add more and bleed it and then it does it again a week or so later. any ideas?!!!

but it's only when moving, not stationary.

So it's not the propshaft bearings, so need to get my jack back and check wheel bearings.

cheers, guessing it needs doing asap if it has gone or its gonna naff up the vcu?

Argh, so is there anyway to see if they need replacing?

Now, if i was to squirt the propshaft bearings with wd40 and it changed tone or stopped, that would be a fair indicator if faulty?

So got a wind like noise when moving but not at standstill, at first thought it was something to do with the inlet gasket I changed the other day but that seems like coincidence, any ideas?!! maybe the bearings underneath? But doesn't seem louder with window open!! 2005 1.8 if that helps!!

so best off going back and speaking with garage that fitted the clutch then. head gasket was pressure tested just recent, all good so not sure it's that. could be not bled right, had fluid loss but wonder if it was linked to waterpump from euro car parts i fitted when i got it after doing cam belt?

The wife is a short arse, not sure if tube ones will help her get in and out as easy as the flat type ones?

Cheers, well looks like door was actually just me being a muppet and not knowing how to open it properly!!! Haven't looked ta prop yet, apparently it dropped?!!! Will look at it after I do the timing belt and pump. Had to change the brake switch today, sorted out the TC and HDC lights as well.

Picked up a 2005 1.8, pretty clean, going to do timing belt and water pump as no idea as to when or if last done. Now bad points: 2wd as problem with rear prop and previous owner scared by quotes to fix it. Slight oil leak from rocker cover. Rear foor hand seems bust, the inside part seems...
