    2.5 ton paperweight??

It looks so good it may even be a later replacement fusebox! I WILL however, pull it out again & go over it with a glass!

    2.5 ton paperweight??

One of the first things I did when I got it, pulled it apart, looked new, cut all the bus-bars along the edges, opened it up, again all like new, folded it back together, re-soldered all those connecting bars. Actually, if you could se it, you'd think it was new! This is DEFINITLEY an historic...

    2.5 ton paperweight??

Got the BeCM back today, apparently the internal data was corrupted, no physical damage, all software related, & was corrected. Great! At last I had great expectations, all refitted & connected back up, Ahh, everything exactly as before :( Well at least I know its NOT the BeCM!! Had a...

    2.5 ton paperweight??

That's great, thank you yet again, I think i WILL disable them both then, so that will be a couple of possible problems out of the way! So does that also mean that if the battery is disconnected for some time in the future, it can be re-connected & the key will work 'normally' without resetting...

    2.5 ton paperweight??

Been messing again with the Nanocom & found a 'disable EKA' or something like that, so if I disable it, will I have to look & unlock with the key or will the remote actions still be available?? If not, what does it mean?

    2.5 ton paperweight??

Remember the ECU's on a P38 are frequently fussy about diagnostic connection. BECM only with ignition off, HEVAC often takes 2-3 attempts, but usually best in ignition positions 2 & 3. ABS only connects below 5mph. EAS must have a good delay timer !! WOW! I didn't know that! My BeCM only works...

    2.5 ton paperweight??

I have tied the Nanocom modules that wont connect with the key in position 1, 2 & even engine running & completely off. I have a very good multi-meter & test probe, but since I'm no elctrikery teckie, am reluctant to do anything more than check voltages & continuity. Is there a way I can pop out...

    2.5 ton paperweight??

Well dear friends hair pulling is making me bald!! I've checked & double checked every connector, earthing point I can find, ALL are like new, I feel there is a common denominator from years old MOT fails & the faults still showing & why diagnostics wont communicate, but I don't know what it is...

    2.5 ton paperweight??

Yeah, I know WHAT they are, I was asking if you thought something's amiss as they are NOT in yellow sleeving. No leaks, dry everywhere. All connections seem shiney!

    2.5 ton paperweight??

Had another shuffling around the plugs etc when I noticed that one of the SRS set of wires is NOT in the yellow sleeving, but it does enter into the main loom. I was under the impression that ALL SRS is in the yellow stuff, could this be a past owner mod? Should I investigate further??

    2.5 ton paperweight??

OK, Nanocom delivered ( at great cost ) :( Registered it, hooked it up, imported all the various module codes, all seems to work ok BUT, yet again, there a some modules it cant/wont communicate with, BECM works fine, as does the EDC, doesn't connect to ABS, SRS, or EAS, & these are the ones...

    2.5 ton paperweight??

Blackbox just got back to me stating that the Faultmate modules are the same as Rovacom ( doesn't say so in their website ) Now then, the cost of the extra modules comes to £370.00, do you think a Nanocom will be a better bet for a few quid more?? Cos there's a fair bit if faff with Rovacom...

    2.5 ton paperweight??

Do you think I should solder ALL the joints? Been on the Blackbox site & cant find any Rovacom-lite modules, so, does the Nanocom do everything my Rovacom did?
