Aviation spanners are flat that's probably why people mentioned them in previous posts I've read

Not 100% but I'm sure I read somewhere on here that someone used a 22/24mm aviation spanner but I was looking for information on freelander 1 TD4 so I could be wrong

Cheers @Andy Warren I can't see them being in different places myself surely that would have been more hassle for landrover to change steering components I've been looking for the top bush mounting but been told it will fit but not sports suspension

He also said the steering arm is in a different location so the more I look the more confused it becomes surely they didn't change steering location ect ect just because its a sport version 😬

Landrover trade parts UK say the sport suspension top mount is different but another company said there all the same it's a confusing state of affairs

Can't find part numbers for the strut top mounts for sport suspension , Could I just remove the sports suspension and put standard on both sides

I think I need to find a good donor car new sports suspension is expensive ,,,

Cheers nodge68 I found the RSC500070 listing says for vehicle with sports suspension only, But could not find drivers ssidepart number so thanks for that Did they do a sport model in the 1.8 petrol model then ? I thought it was just the td4 model 😃😃

That's a problem then I have found passenger side strut (new) but no listing for drivers side also no part numbers on mine that i can see ,but apparently the strut top mounts are all the same though

Cheers nodge68 Would not be so bad if I could find part number for the driver side , but what would the difference be between other freelander struts ? Are the sport model ones stronger I would change both if there is not much difference to standard

I'm also struggling to find any struts as apparently the td4 sport are different I definitely need a strut top mounting bush

Cheers andy It's a td4 sport model it's got everything already just not connected at windscreen end the windscreen is heated but no connectors anywhere all I can think is the connectors have corroded away but seems extreme that they have all gone No spades on screen or the end of the wires

Cheers Andy I've removed all the plastic what I've got is 2 wires each side of windscreen I think 2 are earth wires and I presume the other 2 are live , none have any sort of spade connectors on them and there is nothing on the windows bottom that can be seen the wires are blue and black not...

Was cleaning the windscreen inside today and noticed it has fine wires running through the glass so obviously my windscreen is heated but there is nowhere to connect the wiring at each side of the windscreen the wires don't look corroded and have no connectors on the ends also no connectors...

I think pre facelift is upto 2003 and Facelift is from 2003 the facelift bumpers are a different design to early models
