    L322 Odd (intermittent) dash warnings

Quick update: As with all faults, I like to go for the cheapest/easiest fix first. With that in mind, I toddled off to Halfords, and spent all of £3.99 on an aerosol can of electrical contact cleaner. Got the car up into off-road suspension mode (for better access under the wheelarches)...

    2007 L322 TDV8, Sunroof stuck open, won't close, won't reset

Just throwing it out there... Have you tried leaving your windows open a crack, then pressing and holding the lock button on the key fob (total closure)? If total closure is working, the windows will go up (that's why you have them open a crack - to prove it works), and the sunroof may (or may...

Other Question on an 02 4.4 Vouge

It may not be the basket case it first looks, depending on whether or not it's been properly kettled. If the car has "run hot", and then been switched off, refilled with water/coolant and run again, the HGs may be intact. If the car has been run without coolant for an extended period, then...

    L322 Awful radio reception

Thanks Saint. Radio reception is permanently awful, whether I have the rear heated screen on or not, though I will be sure to check the connectors to the heated rear window. Will I need to remove any trim panels, or is the location of the rear window heater plug fairly obvious/out in the open...

    L322 Awful radio reception

Good afternoon, all. :) As per the thread title, the radio in my 2002 L322 Rangie 4.4 Vogue (original widescreen stereo/sat nav combined unit) has real trouble finding and maintaining a signal for radio stations (FM/MW/LW). When it does finally lock onto a station, the signal is weak, it goes...

    L322 Odd (intermittent) dash warnings

Excellent advice and insight, Saint - thank you. I'll set aside some time this weekend to have a proper look under the car/in the wheelarches for any tell-tale signs of damage.

    L322 Odd (intermittent) dash warnings

Ah, good point! I will add fuse box to my list of things to check. Cheers. :)

    L322 Odd (intermittent) dash warnings

With apologies for two posts in a row, I'm almost certain it's not a battery issue. The old battery was as perfect as the new one (i.e. neither batteries have a problem). I decided to replace the battery on the basis that I have no idea when the previous item was fitted (had no date codes on...

    L322 Odd (intermittent) dash warnings

    1) Not sure, but the faults appear at the same time, and disappear at the same time. I strongly suspect that if I fix one fault, the other will go away. 2) Pass. Definitely not a fuse issue, though - the fault is intermittent. Some of the time, the car works perfectly. If it were a fuse...

    L322 Odd (intermittent) dash warnings

I did consider this, but absolutely everything else is perfect - engine starts on the first turn (no struggling in any temperature), the lights don't dim when I put the heated seats on (dead giveaway, that one), and - miraculously for an L322, I know - it doesn't mind standing in an airport car...

    L322 Odd (intermittent) dash warnings

Thanks for this. Height sensors sound like a good start. :) As the HDC & Air Suspension warnings come on (and go out) at the same time, I wouldn't be surprised if they are related (i.e. fix one, and the other goes away). I'll have a look around the site for posts/threads on height sensors for...

    L322 Odd (intermittent) dash warnings

Thanks for the reply. I get how a bad height sensor would throw up the "AIR SUSP. INACTIVE" message, but what about the "HDC INACTIVE" (Hill Descent Control) message? I'm also willing to explore the "loose wire" theory (supported by the fact I can get the warnings to come up over rough...

    L322 Odd (intermittent) dash warnings

Morning, good people of LandyZone. :) My 2002 L322 Rangie 4.4 V8 Vogue has been acting strangely recently, throwing up errors on the dash whenever it feels like it. I did some extensive Googling, the results of which (from this and other forums) overwhelmingly suggested my battery could be on...

    L322 5HP24 gearbox misbehaving

I'm not particularly handy with the spanners, but I know a man who is. :) I'll look into getting my hands on a remanufactured torque converter. Thanks again for the advice, Saint. Fingers crossed, you may just have saved me a HUGE amount of money. :)

    L322 5HP24 gearbox misbehaving

Thanks for the speedy and comprehensive response, Saint. :) Forgive my ignorance, but can I purchase a replacement torque converter as a separate part, without the need to replace/recondition the entire gearbox? Also, is the LUC a separate part, or is it integrated into the torque converter...

    L322 5HP24 gearbox misbehaving

Hey folks. My 4.4 L322 (ZF 5HP24 'box) is not driving as smoothly as she should. At low to medium speeds (20-50mph), I get the occasional judder from the gearbox/drivetrain, which is usually followed by a loud humming/vibration, which passes if I accelerate. I've narrowed it down to being the...

New to L322 ownership, Morgan reporting for duty!

Good afternoon everyone, I'm Morgan, from Herts, and I am the proud owner of a 2002 (52) L322 RR 4.4 Vogue, which I bought in December 2015. As a committed car enthusiast, I've been fondly admiring L322s from afar for a number of years, and couldn't resist the opportunity to buy one when they...
