Depending on age of Landy try LV insurance ask for a historic quote, not a main stream one. Mine is £150year for 21 year old V8 Disco 2,I am 68no claim does not come in to it for historic.that’s for 5k a year good luck.

Mine has been stiff for 2 years at least,as SS said above .With use it has got better,oil lube made no difference to mine. But using it does ease , probably need to put a post it note on the dash to remind me to do it,I just forget.

If the volts are low I think it’s about 10.6 volts the ecu will not let the injectors operate. It twill crank at this and lower volts. But not fire what SS quoted is spot on.

Sounds like air as others have said. I think it’s in the handbook ,a procedure for getting fuel through in a situation like this. It involves pumping the pedal and cranking the engine. I cannot see it in the owners book ,maybe it’s somewhere else. I will have a hunt for it. Found it see below...

Bit confused?..I did this , filled filter with 3/4 full of new oil , smeared rubber seal with clean oil and hand tightened with a rubber glove. Maybe I am not strong enough these days in old age. What is tight to me may not be to a 30 year old. Cannot understand why you say its the wrong...

If your battery is charged it should be 12.6 volts DC across the terminals, check terminals are clean as per Mystery's suggestion. To check alternator see if you have any AC leaking put multimeter on AC setting and with car running ..see if you get a reading more than about 1 or 2 volts AC...
