The rear differential on my daily driver is getting worse and worse. I'm thinking of fitting a locking one from Ashcroft, but where to locate the compressor?

I'm in the process of fitting a second battery to my 300 tdi Disco 1. Getting in the way is this odd thingamajig. One of the tubes is connected to the air intake box, one has been capped off with a bit of tape and the final one is connected to a servo pipe. Can I remove it?
