Insurance, Lift kit, steel wheels and AT tyres

Hi guys, I'm thinking of fitting an asa lift kit to my 06 freelander, is this a do it yourself job? Does alignment need anything done? And has anyone had trouble from insurance for doing it? Also got some 15" steel wheels, was going to go for Hankook Rf10 At tyres, anyone got any...

    Project id like to do

That sounds quite cool! I always think a bowler wilcat inspired build would look good, with chequer plate replacing the hard top and 2 spare wheels mounted in it! Big lift and big mud tyres! Maybe in the future!

    Td4 Belt slipping after water

It only squeals for a second or 2, then its fine... With amount of rain been having everywhere seems to be on verge of flooding... Is there any good ways to waterproof engine? Not a snorkel but just make it a bit more waterproof? As i said the puddles were not 400mm deep so within its limits

    Td4 Belt slipping after water

Hi guys, A quick question, after driving through some fairly sizeable puddles one of my drive belts squeals and slips for 2-5 seconds and power feels down (lights dim a bit and struggles to accelerate)... Now i'm guessing its the alternator belt? As i thought they had timing chains... Does...

    New to forum... Hi

I need advice on tyres, the steelies originally had 195/80/15s on, do i go for that size AT tyre or would it be better putting different size tyre on to get better height and contact patch?

    New to forum... Hi

Thanks ses88, i have been looking for guards for sump and fuel tank, but struggling to find any! I'm a bit tempted with a lift but got to keep it useable everyday... I have got a set of steel wheels that i'm planning on putting AT tyres on, from what ive seen on here thatll give me a bit...
