    Hi Sounds like the mass airflow sensor is fauly, try disconecting the wiring plug and the engine will run on a default setting. It is located on the air cleaner housing on the left rear side of the engine looking from the front.

    TD4 power loss when pulling away.

    Hi Try disconecting the airflow sensor at the back left hand side of the engine (looking from the front) on the air filter housing this will revert the settings to default and should iccrease the power if the mass airflow is faulty. Worth a try, mines running a lot better!!!!!!!!!!!

    Hi I'm on my fourth Freelander, I would only buy a Diesel, I've had two L series which I had chipped. Now I have two Td4's, one auto and one manual. I must be lucky they have all been very good!!! Just the odd fault, mainly caused by the Dealer.

    Hi I had a diesel Freelander and had the same problem with juddering, it was caused by the clutch release shaft sticking as it was rusty. It is worthwhile squirting some oil at the top of the shaft and pressing the clutch pedal a few times. Sorry can't help with the other questions.
