Hi I had a flat battery the other day and since then the FBH has not worked. Not good at the moment!!! Does any one know which fuse I should check to see if this is the fault? Any other advise would be apreciated. Thnaks

Hi Mine's been disconected for two months and I have more power and economy! I will be having it changed soon as I can't see it being good for the engine in the long run.

Hi Sounds like the mass airflow sensor is fauly, try disconecting the wiring plug and the engine will run on a default setting. It is located on the air cleaner housing on the left rear side of the engine looking from the front.

The early systems before 2001 were noisier but worked very well. Used my mine yesterday and it was fantastic, great fun!!!! BMW pinched the idea off Land Rover !!!

Hi Hill descent is standard on all 02 models.

H The brake light switch can become faulty and causes the lights to iluminate on the dashboard, this happened on mine, even though the brake lights still worked.

When was this car registered, as if it is a W reg most of these comments are irrelevant as they are for a new car with Land Rover warranty!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi Try disconecting the airflow sensor at the back left hand side of the engine (looking from the front) on the air filter housing this will revert the settings to default and should iccrease the power if the mass airflow is faulty. Worth a try, mines running a lot better!!!!!!!!!!!

Hi I'm on my fourth Freelander, I would only buy a Diesel, I've had two L series which I had chipped. Now I have two Td4's, one auto and one manual. I must be lucky they have all been very good!!! Just the odd fault, mainly caused by the Dealer.

Hi I had a diesel Freelander and had the same problem with juddering, it was caused by the clutch release shaft sticking as it was rusty. It is worthwhile squirting some oil at the top of the shaft and pressing the clutch pedal a few times. Sorry can't help with the other questions.

Hi I have had a similiar problem with the idle speed, told it was the potentiometer, it wasn't!! Turned out to be the wiring loom from the accelerator pedal to the engine management, a couple of the wires were damaged and replaced and this fixed the fault. My Freelander was also chipped and...
