Hi Folks Long time since I've posted on here but thought this might help someone. Disco V8, Central locking not working, when you try to unlock on the remote the ignition lights come on for a couple of seconds. Open door manually, start engine and try to unlock on the dashboard switch = all the...

    Disco 2 Squealing ace pump???

Quite possibly, I've had a pump shear off just behind the pulley. Replaced with a used pump and all was fine after that.

I agree with Datatek If your UJ's are rusty, it's too late to grease them - replace them

    Brake booster pump

Hi everyone i have been having issues with the booster pump on my ABS, when I tap the pump it would start working again. I have now had the motor rebuilt, a new relay is on its way to me, but occasionally I am still having a problem with the pump not working. I now think I have a problem...

    Exhaust for oil burner ...

Bosal were sold because they were losing money. Folks stopped buying their decent exhausts and bought cheapo stuff from the far east. Now the new owners have moved the production to Poland to reduce costs and the quality has gone down.

    P38 HID Kits

    my car fixes its self

My book symbol was on for a while. I tried driving with the temp setting at its highest, then when it got too warm in the car I moved it to the lowest setting. Did this a few times = no more book symbol and everything working ok. Obviously the flaps were a little sticky.:)

    Starter problems

Check your ring gear before you fit the new motor. If that has been damaged, you could end up damaging the new motor in no time at all.

Can't find a garage? Re: timing belt

And that could be your answer. You could be asking for a garage to go over all the possibilities that you might potentially have got wrong, and they might be struggling to cover the time spent checking 25 things you did right before they find the silly one thing that has been left loose...

P38 transmission slow in the cold

-18 plus the chill factor when you start moving through the ice cold air. Had a similar experience some years back on the M6 in Cheshire (admittedly not as cold as -18) I left the in-laws to head home, their house was about 3 minutes away from the M6, a few miles down the M6 the temp...
