Welcome, glad you are enjoying it! I followed my dream and bought a mk2 transit with the money!
The Landie is shiny as I looked after it and spent a lot of time polishing it before Daryl bought it off me ;)
You got any plans to do anything else to it?
After selling my Defender I've got a few bits surplus to requirements:
Defender Haynes Manual, hardly used £12 posted
Defender genuine Lucas headlight switch brand new, £25 posted
200tdi engine mounts x4 Britpart but G code so Genuine spec, brand new, £20 posted
Defender timing tool kit...
About £2300 from Turner Engineering (Google is your friend I found this in 30 secs!)
Reconditioned, replacement Land Rover Engines for Discovery, Range Rover, Freelander including 300TDI, TD5, TD4, V8, turbo diesel and petrol. 1958 to date.
I must have a weird Defender, when I removed my steering wheel the other day to fit the leather one it came off easily and that's been the same for 99% of the bolts on it so far!
Do it properly. I did mine last year, the windscreen frame comes out easy enough, just needs 2 of you to get it in and out.
Chances are there will be corrosion on the top of the bulkhead, mine luckily had a very small amount of surface rust at the ends that I sorted so was a good time to...
I noticed the speedo. Looks to worn for just 29k.
If it's VOSA printout it will only go back 10 years or so, so the first 12 years will be missing!
My 1992 200tdi Defender has 79k on it and I have every MOT cert from its first MOT to verify it's mileage.
