    I use a length of wood on the front of the engine (just under the crank pulley on the oil pan bolts), this tilts the gearbox giving you a little more wiggle room.

    I replaced the rear crank seal at weekend, just checked under the car to see if the new is leaking and spotted this.

    The way it smeared/smudged over the door when I wiped it I would say oil.

    Cheers for the reply, will have a go at weekend. Spotted another potential problem today, was working on the car and had the rear in front of the white garage door, rear end was on drive on ramps. Had to start it a few times and noticed oil spatter on the garage door from the exhaust. 🫣

    Boost gauge arrived, where's the best place for it? From a diagnostic point of view. There's a t piece on the small pipe that's on the turbo. Not sure what was there before but is that any good for it? Cheers

    Bloody thing fell apart, new barrel came today. Same problem with the coil, it doesn't fit or lock into anything. Just kinda hangs there.

    Sooo, had a go at fitting the coil and it appears I have something missing from my ignition barrel. ATM the coil has nothing to attach to, any clue on what's missing? Cheers 🍻

    I always thought they should be done hot? Since I've owned the car I've done the timing belt but never fiddled with the pump or fitted boost pin/ring. I guess there must be a way of setting it all back to default. Maybe worth looking into before I fit a new belt. 👍

    Need to change the adjuster screws in the head at some point, got a timing belt kit on the way from dingocroft also. Sounds like I I'm gonna need an 8njector puller too 😁

    New compression tester arrived today, can't seem to find an adapter for the leak down tester. Cylinder 1 - 400 Cylinder 2 - 440 Cylinder 3 - 435 Cylinder 4 - 400 All looks good? Also adjusted the valve clearance, some of them were extremely tight and somebody else has had a right go at them...

    Well that was a waste of a few hours 😶 Fitting for the leak down tester leaks and the compression spring retainer thingy fell apart on the compression tester 😅
