    I may try to add a switch to the lockup line so i could manually at say 45mph. GM auto boxes were do much better controlled than ZF

    I got 24mpg over 140 miles from a TD5 auto, about half the time below lockup, and quite a few hills. Unlocked 20 is about right, locked 27 to 30...
