Does the hub not come off if you remove the big hub nut ?
Buy a clip on DC voltmeter ideal for finding parasitic drains etc...example in link below....others makes models exist....
No good anyway, only goes up to 50 deg, its 65 outside at the moment

If its just the internal sensors going off you could try locking it using just the key rather than the remote
I thought this could be done by pressing unlock on the remote.
or possibly through the menu.....or is this just the newer versions ?

Found how to get easy leverage on the Track Rod End when rusted on.
Stick bar through and turn.....easy peasy....
I would go for a new batteries in the remotes first.....cheap enough to try
Used nut splitter to remove nut....now ball joint out but difficult to get it off the rod.
As mention the pinch bolt has had its head snapped...
