As my refurbished defender is up and running it is time to part with my RR L322 4.4 v8 (runs LPG) 143300 miles, in my ownership for past 13 years...
I'm assuming it was causing a "physical" stop/restriction to the throttle
Peculiar cure to this issue, EGR deleted over 10 years ago, we disconnected the TPS (throttle position sensor) plug from FIP and now getting 1 bar...
Have to give a shout out for excellent service
Turbo rebuilds LTD,
unsure if my new hybrid unit was working correctly (under 1 bar boost)...
OOh that's a different occurrence entirely ££££
random "Pin" off the road etc held there as the sump plug may be magnetic ??
SP 4X4, Yep that's the ones I have, passenger side proving difficult, may need
some proper alignment (bending) to resolve, The galvanising twists...
Galvanised are the preferred option (by me) but are difficult to get right, D/S fine P/S being a pain to get to close correctly
Putting some smiles on it at the moment, no major issues
Minor niggle on shake down, Leak off fitting leaking (He He He) on rear most 2 injectors, new copper washers sorted
Looking for some discreet aux lighting for the front (flood or spot) anyone got recommendations ?
Annoying niggle, second injector from the rear the spill return fitting is leaking, awaiting new copper washers to resolve.
It always boils down...
May need to look at wheel and tyre combi when I need new tyres
Got my defender back today, been a long road but worthwhile ( please excuse the cheasy grin)
Thanks for letting all know what happened
