Either stick with the P38 or aim for a later L322 with the 3.6. £5.5k will get you a very nice P38 or a ropey L322
Seen a 2003 registered a while back but the build date put it back to 2001.
Covers tend to do more harm than good. The wind can cause them to rub and as a result the top coat can go dull. They trap dirt and moisture too....
Worth dropping the engine out, doing the belt and clutch all at once. It's far quicker than you think
Was a good show, plenty of P38's on show. Kind gent came up and offered some bits for prices we couldn't refuse lol.
Can you not just take one out and compare at your local auto factors? Don’t forget to grab some copper washers whilst you’re there.
We already knew about the issues associated with Freelanders before buying one. The one we bought had a recent set of tyres all round along with...
Can't comment on the disco's as i've not owned one upto now. Always had a hankering for a 3DR at some point.

Only replaced the first one for a higher spec one. The first is now in south africa still running and driving.
Clutchfix or Valeo HD
We did and never looked back. Had two MK2's and they've been faultless.

P38's take a little more love and attention than a D2 but have a far smoother drive as a result, especially if still on air. Regarding the P38,...
I've been through a few sets as it is and they've all had the same stampings on. Like the genuine halfshaft seals for my P38 are the same as the...
Doesn’t matter who they’re sold by. They’re all Atlas 12.9 grade. LR and Britpart were supplied by the same company.
It’s the best way. Keeps things contained in all one area and makes for a decent build thread.
R380 is just a modernised version of the LT77. The LT77 used to run on ATF so its to be expected that the R380 will run better on the same stuff....
I run the same Britpart kit on my 2.5 and it gives a lovely ride. Think it was around £72 for the full kit with new nuts.
