The can bus is just a pair of twisted wires 2.0 to 2.7v running from module to module. They fault due to an open circuit or high resistance pin...
Yep if the draft seal is torn best replace it, but it is worth checking the drainage tubes atleast, very easy to to with with a jug of water ;)
Yep mine is a daimler albeit a 3.6 a nice car but being well north of 6ft it is tight especially for my right knee which if i'm not careful gets...
That doesn't stop the water coming it, it's main purpose is wind noise reduction..
Your sunroof drains take the water away, best check those...

The lump in the bumper is just the plastic and easy to rectify, the hole in the rear wing is also fixable..
