  • Hi

I got the same problem. I want to use mine for playing, so not too worried about that kind of stuff.

I have mostly suspension parts and drivetrain. Also a few odds and ends like lights, guages, clips and stuff. I'll post a complete inventory this week. Maybe I can deliver them to you. I'd love a trip to Tanzania. Don't you have any work for me?
Not SA but Tanzania. Maybe I should just drive over to buy you a beer :)

I just bought a 2-door 1986 RRC that was more suitable for housing chickens than driving and have been working with local mechanics in Arusha to get it roadworthy enough to drive back to Mtwara where I am based.

The V8 engine seems to be working very fine though likes to drink (about 5.5km per liter on the 1000km trip from Arusha to Mtwara) and as you know the body is indestructable but in my case the interior is still quite a mess. I am also missing a roof shell/lining as the former owner pulled it out to put in another RR that had its roof lining destroyed when he ended up upside down in a river (long story) so it is still very much a work in progress.

When I got the RR I thought I would spend up to a week in Arusha working on it but by the time I got it registered and back on the road more than a month had gone. Slowly it is dawning on me that a RR classic is more like a lifetime than a weekend project :)
