  • i dont think stem seals would cause that heavy oil burn ,for years they only had rubber disc on inlets and nothing on exhaust valves ,i would check bore nearest oil feed from block through head to rocker pedastel on each bank ,you would see during stripping wether inlet ports where wet with oil to rule in out seals ,or wether other oil leak (gasket),or rings ,oil would mask compression reading
