Disco 3 rear door won't open

My disco 3 tailgate will not open. I can hear the lock operating when I try the handle but nothing happens. I have tried the emergency opening using the keys on the dash but still not luck. Anyone got any ideas?

Is it stuck shut due to the cold? You tried brute force? I own a D1 so no comparison but just an idea.

That was my first thought. The door flexes at either side but no movement in the middle. That makes me think it is possibly the lock not operating but looking for someone who knows about how this all works.

If you mean the top bit of the tailgate,the end of the operating cable has snapped.What a cr-p piece of design,and even worse quality of manufacture,no need of it at all.Think its about £40-50 worth of bits if you can get the trim off the inside without breaking it.

That's exactly what i mean. Any ideas of how to get the trim off to look at it with the door shut?

got the same prob if you press bottom button on fob and push tailgate button at the same time it will open works for me anyway
