It when he gets really serious and the winch gets added. That ain't that easy on a chassisless car. Suppose its like a tow bar cross member but on the front.

Whats the point of a Saxo with a stupid exhaust (Not realising its fooking up the performance), a big sound system and then bombing between Burger King and McD's to see whose about whose cool to hang about with?

Got himself a decent car and now wants to make it look and perform the part.

thanks for the support, and yes all my friends do drive about in crappy saxo's and fiestas. but you will be pleased to know that my car is faster than there's 0-60 and top speed. but there just numbers really. its all about being different and being a 4x4 you can get the back end out on grass and dirt. and to top it all its convertible so the girls like it.

You've obviously not seen my 1.8K freelander race a saxo VTS and win!

I've even outran a golf in a car chase full of narrow streets and 90 degree corners.

The cheapest thing you could do to add a bit more performance would be to remove the airbox next to the battery (really easy to do), remove the pipe from the throttle body to the airebox (also really easy) and then add a conical K&N filter right on the throttle body. The K&N should only cost ya little money and it makes the world of difference!

Oh, and i forgot to mention. You better be ready for all the local coppers pulling you over constantly thinking you've knicked it and you're joyriding.

I've had my girl since i was 18 about 15 months now and i can't keep count of the amount of cops that pulled me over. Some were grand, most were cocks. Usual questions are:

Is this your car?
Are you sure?
Is it not your dads car?
Are you insured?

When they can't find problems with any of them you best make sure your girls in tip top shape cos the bastards will try EVERYTHING to try and do you for something. They checked tyres, wipers, absolutely everything.

Oh, and if you REALLY want to show your mates cars up fit a stainless steel exhaust lol. That together with the air filter sounds BEASTY.

Aint 60 a bit optimistic for a Series?

60 is about the safe limit for my L-series. Been doing 70 in it to clear out the soot and its screaming at me.

That really is quite sad. It's a pity they always pick on law abiding younger drivers with the stern bull**** attitude, yet those that are habitual criminals they laugh & joke with when nicking them only for a slap on the wrist to be administered.
