If you find the download a problem - copies of the discs are available on Ebay but check carefully what you are getting - latest (last available) versions are dated March 2003.
There are some tips on how to get the undertary off in earlier posts.
Reading the Rave and searching the forum will usually turn up a good set of info.:welcome2:

Yes, have heard that too but no experience with it. Only when I just did a short testdrive the day I decided to buy the FL, was something in October 2000, just before the Td4 came out. I could have that Di at a VERY interesting price but as i wanted an auto. I preferred to wait a couple of months for the Td4 in combination with the Steptronic. So I don't know what I missed by not accepting that generous offer but what I know is the fun I have with the combination I choose and for which i waited that long. (But the driving etc.. of the L-diesel made me decide to go for the FL so it must have left a good impression after all).

I remember my Morris Mini 850 (1966), Opel Manta A 1.6S back in the 70's and again the same with my Mercedes 190E, when I first opened that hood I almost didn't dare to look at the lump, but after a couple of weeks/months I did maintenance with eyes closed. And for the mini, these points needed to be installed separately and adjusted afterwards. Now these days there aren't even any points anymore I understand ? So grab your guts and do it......

You have to remove the under tray first, search the forum there are a lot of threads on how to and which bolts to undo.

Hey Willo, nice car that Manta A, always fancied one myself. You're right about the Td4 auto - it's absolutely superb & was my main reason for going for the Td4. Didn't really rate the select shift option & after trying it once or twice haven't bothered with it. Also the IRD ratios are more sensible on the Td4 & less likely to cause trouble than the old L-series.
To be fair though, I do believe the L-series is good & if I was ever stuck with little money & no car wouldn't hesitate to go for one, but to say it's better than a Td4 - I'm not so sure. Both models have their strengths & weaknesses.

Yep all true. Also the ability to top up the clutch fluid on the TD4 is better.

Done the oil change with Castrol but dont know the additive ??

really nice car, I really liked the round tail lights on them. Maybe some day if I come into some extra cash I'll go for one (most here are now very rusty or mint condition but expensive).

Yes, it (tried to) imitated the Corvette on some points, the round tail lights amongst other things. The headlights were normal lamps but I modified all four of them to become halogene, so I had four of each, four great lights and four dimlights, was a nice sight at the time.

if yer doing it on yer drive put sheets newspaer summit down to stop yer ****ing the drive.Yer will spill some oil.Dont let the missus beast yer for it though!

Good luck,once yer done it you wont pay for it again.
