Had a blow-out recently while out on the motorway and will be getting all 4 tyres replaced soon.

They are proper offroader tyres but I mostly use the lannie for road use until wintertime so....

Got some ideas for new tyres here:

Error

Tyres Online :: Kwik Fit Tyre Search for your Car or Van :: Special Offers and Pricing

Bascially there are 235 / 85 R16s that are fitted but maybe I need to 'unbeef' the tyres to a lower size??

Kwik fit are pricier but the tread pattern seems more 'roady' than offroad.

Any thoughts on best tyres and prices from the road bears out there? :)

I wanted AT2 but had to settle for General Grabber TR 205/80/R16 (standard size) fitted. They are not as chunky as the AT2 but can handle snow, mud and not scary in the wet.
It is well worth shopping around. I bought mine for just under £70 each, delivered to the door and fitted by a friend... ask you local tyre fitters for a price.
THis site may help in chosing.... Test reports for all-season tyres General - GRABBER AT2

I bought a set of Bridgestone Duellers for my other motor (Kia Sorento), just coming up on 23k miles on the set and still going. Mostly road use and occasionally on grass with the horse box or caravan but must admit they are beginning to lack traction off road.
I paid abut £105 each from Kwik Fit but that was 18months ago.

The tyres I replaced were Khumo nad they go on for ever but if on grass they would not have pulled a sailor off your sister
