Ok just removed both front radius arms for new bushes to be fitted and now the cars back together noticed that after i get out one of the air solonoids keeps firing until the susspension is right down and completely empty. Didn't have this problem before can anyone advise whats happened and how to fix please?

Is it a P38? if so could be a height sensor. You need the EAS software to read the faults if any.

Yes P38, all height settings work fine, problem is only when i get out and shut all the doors then i hear a valve pulsing and all 4 corners lower... system is completely empty of air when i return to the car. I replaced all 4 air springs while i was on doing the radius bushes. Checked for leaks and there's none.

So I would suggest that the height sensors are a good place to start looking they are quite close to your radius arms and maybe one is giving a false reading leading the ECU to try to level the car by lowering all 4 corners. The Becm continues to try and level the car when the ingnition is turned off. Otherwise, does the solenoid continue to fire with the tailgate (or a door) open? The suspension should be frozen in this condition so if the solenoid continues to fire I would suspect EAS ECU or BECM, bad connections, bad earths etc.

Hi, if any doors or the tailgate is open the suspension stops firing / moving.

Height sensor then;) With the suspension frozen (tailgate open) remove the connectors one at a time and clean with contact cleaner. If that does not work, put an ohm meter across the contacts and check the readings are smooth and consistant through the range of travel. You will probably find one that is erratic. Could also be bad connections elewhere, BECM or EAS ECU.

Hi there,
When you took the radius arms off did you take the rubber connector for the sensor off first,if not may have damaged sensor. To check disconnect sensor rubber link(ignition off)connect multi meter arcross the pins, select Ohms.when sensor arm is moved up and down there should be a gradual change in resistance,if it isnt smooth,or if it only reads one reading or no reading then the sensor is naff and has to be replaced.
