Hello all, i no my way around most of my landrover but im a bit confused on what this is. i went for my m.o.t and passed fine :D but got an advisory notice on:

Offside front drag link end ball joint has slight play??

Could any1 help tell me what this is or have any pictures? and is it easy to replace i can do most things... more importantly is it expensive?

Thanks alot cheerss max

It's the ball joint on the end of the drop arm from your steering box.
A genuine repair kit is about £35. DO NOT USE A BRITPART KIT!
Buster has done a guide if you look in his helpful guides section.

ok! Why not just call it a drop arm ball joint, like everyone else then? (although going on the advisories i had, it's so you don't get the bits for 1/10th of what they are saying they'll get em for and do it yerself!)

Thanks alot for your help guyss is it urgent to change or can i do it some time over the summer?

While im here is there any other checks that i should be doing on my landy i am greasing regularily and servicing it when needed. im only 17 and this is my first landy so im not to sure what to keep and eye and ears open for. any help is welcome. thanks cheers

It's a critical steering component, so it needs to be right.
In saying that it passed MOT, so I guess it can wait a short while - don't leave it too long though.
Get yourself a Haynes book of lies and follow the routine maintenance and servicing bit.
When you get a bit more confident, download the RAVE manual.
