I just serviced my TD4. Took 5 mins to get the tray off and the same to get it back on again. A bit fiddly but I only do it once a year so not a big deal really.

The oil and filter cost me £40. £92 sound steep to me!

You must be missing a load of bolts, just how many are on yours..........................

Half a dozen screws on the front plastic trims in the corners of the bumper and and 8 bolts. Matches up with what RAVE says there should be...

Did I mention that I had use of a four post ramp in a workshop? I think that may have helped :p

Halfords - classic that place - the standard spin on oil filter as fitted to most diesel land rovers (not FL) comes in three sizes, short, medium and long. I go for the long one if I can and it's about £3 for a coopers - Halfrauds: £23... FOR A FILTER!
