This Sunday, 10am, M18 J1, McDonalds on Rotherham side.

'Beginners' green-laning, easy routes, last done with Andy200Tdi and One Stop both easily managed it with road biased tyres on. See Jan 11 South of Doncaster thread.

I'd guess the lanes may be quite muddy and icy, maybe still snowy .. ;) Couple of them are tight against bushes so potentially scratchy for a hundred yards or so, one ploughed field edge that will be awkward but rest mostly clear and relatively unused.

Anyone welcome.

So far ..

hi how far you going etc may come a along but have to pick missus up later after lunchtime,so nott sure if i have time etc?

Last one we did we started at 10.30 and finished around 2.30, but if you just do the first 'loop' around Maltby and across to Tickhill it would be about 2 hours. The first few lanes are pretty good anyway, none are damaging, unless you're a twunt, of course, but they are pretty interesting.

Feel free to leave at any time though, it's not like it's a a paid tour etc ... just let us know so we don't wait for you if you're not coming ... ;)

PICCIES !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Only two of us there, but no worries, had a great time.

One lane was blocked, fly tippers, so we abated it enough to get by. Just phoned the council and left a message, and I'll follow that up during the week ... hopefully they'lll shift it soon. ;)

So the pics ... ;)

Got a few more, though they're much the same, lanes with snow, bits of mud and slush ...

Sorry for poor quality, phone camera, but it's easier to use than my 'real' camera when I'm driving, and keeps the pic size small and easy to handle!!! :D

Hi Paul

I'm from the doncaster region and have done a bit of research for green lanes, sticking to BOATs in our area and travelling within a reasonable radius. I was unable to find any BOATS in the maltby region so wondered if u could give me a few pointers as to tracks that are legally accessible other than BOATs. Is it a case of highlighting tracks and then checking their legality with the council?
