I’m no electrician, what’s the best way to get a rear view camera power cable from the outside to the inside, i’m going to power it from the reverse light fuse, wifi from cam to screen, please, thanks

The tailgate inside cover seems fairly permanent, does it prise off, can’t see any screws or clips, I did this on a disco much easier access, thanks for reply

Tailgate cover screws on bottom edge, look up from underneath and you will see them. Then carefully prise off at clips which pull out, or snap if unlucky.

I put my reverse camera in the rear bumper and cables in through the tow bar grommet in the rear wing floor, behind rear side panel rhs., right at the back of the car.

great, many thanks, is tapping into the fuse box an okay idea, I have fuse taps?
Just tap into the reverse light positive wire inside the boot side cover.
There's nothing in the fuse box with does just the reverse lights. You can tap into the front power socket for an accessory live.

Does the rhs rear panel just pull off, sorry to be so thick, it all seems so solidly connected

The lower seat belt anchor needs to be undone, the 4 twisty things need to come off, the socket for the parcel shelf needs it screw removed and taken out and the 2 screws on the trim under the door.

Think that's it, might have forgotten summat.

Only additional is that it is easier to take the whole tailgate trim strip off which have torx screws in, about 6 or 8. The trim that sits across the entrance to the boot.

If easier then poke the cable under the side trim, push further under with plastic card (don't break your only bank card), rear side to side trim, as mentioned, is useful to remove though.
i mounted my camera below the bumper but would like it higher for parking, looking down at the bumper.

I ran the wiring across to the drivers side and came up through a rubber grommet in the floor being the corner plastic trim panel. The power source is the reverse lamp cable to the rear light cluster. If yours is a wifi then that's prob' about it. Mine isn't and I then ran the cables to the front along side the tunnel housing and then up behind the centre console across to the passenger A pillar, up inside that and across to the rear view mirror which has a screen in it [ bought off Aliexpress].

Thanks guys, side panel off, rear door card off, back strip off, few threaded screws to deal with, but plain sailing from here on, next, fix the sunroof, cogs sound dodgy, opens, but very reluctantly
