Defender 90's handling is ludicrous.

I recently purchased a land rover dlc. Only wanted the old defender, and it drives awfully and is unrealistic. Although I adore the game, the handling needs to be improved if anyone else finds it challenging to drive. For a scout, a wheelbase of 130 would have been much preferable.

Did you drive a defender before buying it, they feel quite different to a family hatchback. You should try driving a series at 60mph if you really want to know what bad handling feels like.

DLC, could be DownLoadable Content, more likely Dilithium Link Control.. without it, it's all warp and no drive

Ha, ha. I used to drive series 3s for miles on the Autobahn when I was posted in Germany. Spedo dancing around 130kmh when going down hill on a certain stretch, constantly turning the steering wheel left/right to keep it in a straight line.

I remember going down one particular stretch towards a bridge, me on the verge of nodding off and drifting slowly towards the centre of the Autobahn. I suddenly realised the drift and snapped the steering wheel over to correct the drift, but with the slack in the steering it made no difference to the direction I was heading - the young lieutenant raised his legs to his chest just as I clipped the kerb on the bridge! Thankfully a loud bang was the only outcome as I calmly said (with a fecking racing heart) "sorry about that sir, the steerings ****!". We carried on with him hoping he hadn't passed solids and me hoping I wasn't in for a major bollocking when I got back. Thankfully the only outcome was the land rover going in for an inspection before going on another trip!
