see from picture you have two stabilizers this would have been screwed to the rear of the speedo you find the same item on eBay but not with the draper stick and it mark-up

The one from series 3 was screwed to speedo, but the one off the 2a Ambulance was screwed on to bulkhead . So Do gauges go to I terminal and B goes to battery supply on ignition ?
just a matter of which order from my birds nest.
Called in for sender 560794 today and it turns out that it shares same part number with 52770

Thanks does the Blue Feed to B go to one of the ignition points on barrel .? my blue feed comes from fuse box.
Where the hell am I going wrong on gauge wires ?

Just received my temp sensor 560794 and have measured the resistance at 19c= 580 ohms ,23c =259 ohms ,at 82 c (Boiling water from kettle) =72 ohms
which are nothing like the figures you were getting

Probably didnt measure mine properly, should have took it off and done it in boiling water ect. Going to try and have another go today at wiring, and flushing matrix out, then see whats what.

Wired everything back up, certain its right this time will take pics later. let it run a good 20 mins fuel gauge works but temp gauge did not move, no reading at all on sender when I tried again with multimeter , popped in and got new one, readings are very similar to yours so gonna try and get up later to try it on engine.
Does yours need the adaptor like mine does, hope this new sender fits, at least its not in a blue box this time.

Well fitted new sender and now working, BUT still not sure if working properly.
Once again fired it up and let it run thought it was going to settle down once it got to half way, but after a good 20 mins it was still slowley rising up to the red. now remember this is only Idling as not driving yet, and dont suppose this Heatwave we have helps either. took temperatures on stat and other places which were normal so to speak but the longer I let it run the higher they would get, So cant really tell untill the thing is out and running on the road. Pointless sitting here and letting it get hotter and hotter,

Unless there is a surefire way that it is overheating or going to overheat, think I will just get on with the rest of the wiring for now.
Pics of how it is wired now, hope they are correct.
Cant remember the part number for adapter, but I think there is 2 different ones with different threads. My new sender fits the one I have, if you struggle to get one let me know as think my local landy shop said he had a couple left.

Wiring correct , just fitted gas struts to my cat flap as my head cannot take the constant hits when it decides to let go whilst I'm under it

Greta job there, Those gas struts are great .
Might have a go at the Indicator stalk next, think I know which wires they are . did you just run yours up the side or id there somwhere to hide them going up to plug ?

I removed the plug and ran cables through the bottom of steering shaft clamp bracket and replaced the plug with one that I had the female part to if you route yours this
way the cables are just long enough for the connector to be behind your instrument panel ,but if you reuse the plug put it on after you have routed it through side hole
or you could just replace connectors for ones you have if it's difficult to obtain the corresponding plug to the one supplied with stalk I used the locking strip from an old wiper blade to remove the connectors

Sorry I haven't replied for a while, still under the weather.
Thanks for diagram above as always very helpful.
Not a lot I can do now until I get wings fitted, have ordered bolts ect . Was hoping to save at least the bowels but think they are to far gone, will need to order new with headlights.
Did manage to get stalk fitted, will see which way I am going to route the wire when I start connecting things up.

Sorry to hear you were unwell Chinese flue I assume ,hope you are on the mend . Don't forget to fit your steering column clamp bracket this will affect the route of cable from stalk

Finally got wings fitted today, few bolts still to put in but they look ok ish. might just be the way I am looking at it but not sure if bonnet is going to close properly on the big air filter housing,
Joined the 5 wires that go through chassis and out at rear, there was another Green /Black that did not go that way so added a bit on to it and left it up in engine bay, not sure what it is for yet.
