I've got the hump with island 4x4 where I nearly always buy my bits, so they've lost out on this and any other future orders. I need a new condensor, would have gone with the mahle at £108 from them only because I've heard of mahle:rolleyes: plus I've seen an old post off I think @Grrrrrr receiving a bent one off island and having or had an issue like me with faulty returnso_O.
So..looking for a decent quality one that anybody can recommend, loads on ebay:rolleyes:
TIA.:)

I got a Hella one off All Parts, now GSK. Same price as Island but perfect in the box. I rang Hella and checked All Parts were one of their distributers. Very helpful and based over in Oxfordshire so not so far from me.

I've just ordered one £72 ebay seller has 100% feedback of thousands so....
Noticed today the original one has a date sticker still on it, August 2001.
Got to do some mods to fit and change the compressor to condensor pipe for the earlier one.
Pipe was over twice the price of the condenser, could have got a used earlier pipe and maybe got pirtek to swop the rubber bit out but don't know if that's possible in this case.

Ohhhh....
Just waiting for the pipe which is special order.

Yeah, I mean 100% positive feed back on 4k odd, iirc, sounds OK to me.
I've read of fan mountings being not correct, maybe the later fan mountings are different to the early fan mountings? I'm fitting late fans to an early condensor so I'm expecting some issues above what I already know. Nothing I can't overcome with my extensive knowledge of bracketery :):D

The only issue with the early one is its less efficient. It's a feed in from one end and fed out the other. The later was fed from left to right if you like and across the face of the rad. The heat loss was a massive benefit. Elliott has an earlier version in his 2000. Still works à treat and the rétro fit is worth it either way. :D

Stupid predictive funking keyboard crap....
