On a previous thread about being locked out of my P38, there is a clip missing from the lock mechanism.
It enables key entry and without it the key cannot be used as it moves freely and the rod does not move up or down.
If there is a clip available from a supplier or a forum member I would appreciate a link or offer.
A crude cable tie may work but a permanent fix is a new clip being fitted.
Thanks.

Might be able to get one off eBay? @tomcat59alan knows a guy (Charles) who might be able to help.
There are quite a few parts on Ebay but I can't see anything specific to the connecting rod. I'm told the clip may well be sat in the bottom of the door. Time to find a magnet I think. Charles may be the trader from Wales. I've had parts from him so I will send him a message.

Most of the clips are plastic. One of mine went years ago and soneone sent me one off a scrapper.

When I lost my clip I got some fine copper wire and bound it round to hold rod in place. That was about 4yrs ago and touch wood still going strong
