Thinking of selling restoration project

I am new here apologies to the admin if this is not appropriate but need some advice and not sure where to post.

I current have a 1984 2.5N/A that I have been restoring for the last few years. I have rebuilt the chassis and axles and had the engine completely rebuilt, and rebored by fully qualified Land Rover technicians.

In addition to this it has:
• 2 Rear Tub
• 2 Sets of Doors
• 2 Roofs one smooth and one ribbed
• 2 Sets of wings
• Spare LT77 gearbox and Transfer case

However I want to acquire a TDCi 110 estate and was thinking of selling my project to finance it. I have no idea what to price it or to sell it wholesale or in bits can anyone give me an idea?

Well, you've made a good start on it but it sounds like it needs a full body restoration.

The buyer will probably want to fit a galvanised chassis if they're taking off the body to replace the bulkhead etc unless the original chassis is very good.

As to value, well it's not had an MOT since 2014 but has only 60,000 miles and if genuine that will make it worth more.

Still not worth a fortune, l would suggest it might make £5-6,000

But there's one big plus and that is, it's over 25 years old so eligible for export to the USA

You could try one of the USA based Land Rover forums, they sell for mad money over there and someone may buy it for considerably more money.

l've seen rough looking examples making over $20,000 and yours has the benefit of a rebuilt engine, plus l assume it's driveable?

Is the first picture as it stands now or is that what it looked like before being stripped for restoration and it is currently a pile of parts? That will have a huge bearing on price. If it is a complete vehicle that is drivable and just needs a rolling body restoration than it will be worth far more than a heap of parts. If it has been stripped and it is just all of the parts to rebuild I would suggest that @lightning 's valuation is far to high and you are looking at 2-3k on a good day, if it is all together as rolling vehicle (even if not driving) I would agree with 5-6k

Yes my 5-6k was based on the Land Rover being as the photo, complete/driveable and with the rebuilt engine installed

Thanks guys very much appreciated. It’s not driveable but had a complete engine and chassis rebuild. The plan is a new bulkhead and tub rebuild. I would like to buy a 110 as planning on having a family but want to take them on adventures. I may end up keeping it if it won’t be worth much value
