So i currently own a Disco2 on a 2000 plate td5 manual. 110k miles currently (owned 2 years)
My previous was a Disco1 on a 1996 plate 300tdi manual. (owned 11 years)
I do my own servicing and things (except welding) but mainly my background is in electrical fault finding.
So im based in the central belt of Scotland. (about 15 miles out of Glasgow).
I have other cars and motorbikes that i service too!
Mainly got a Disco to ferry the family around in snow and bad weather (not for off roading.)
And then got bitten by the Landrover bug, and couldn't be without one now.
If i feel down, then driving my disco always puts a smile on my face if you get me.
I do have a problem on my Disco that i'm going to reserch on the forum for,.. its that my gear shift becomes difficult to move if ive been in 5th Gear on the motorway for half hour or so and the need to change down to 4th.. it doesn't move in the "gate" when you bring it out of 5th gear it just kinda sits there? its seems to be ok if you leave the car for a few hours, changes faultlessly (always has previously) .
if you can piont me in the right direction that would be brill.
Thanks Steve
