Thought I'd see what flex I've got, pretty sweet! No rubbing either.

Picked up some bits ready for the nose swap on my lt230. New front output flange kit, input seal, output bearing, washers for switches and some bolts that I'll turn into alignment pins.

Managed to bag a right bargain on ebay, £22.50 for a brand new boxed genuine fog light! Happy days. Just need to find the other one now.

Then I noticed another small problem. The new box has a hole for the speedo drive! Bugger. All ready working on a fix. Picked up a speedo drive top hat bung which seals in the hole with an o ring, just need to weld a small disc to the end to stop the oil coming out then this is held in with a small spring plate and bolt.

I've setup a dti gauge and worked out the correct shim needed. Luckily a friend had the exact shim so that's in now and is perfect. No pic of the lastest stage unfortunately. New bearing, seals etc fitted. Here's a couple during work.

It's mostly back together now just a couple of covers, brackets and switches to go. Will be back in the landy on Saturday. Can't wait!!!

My ideal D2 build right there, love the faact you've left the bodywork stock, nothing worse in my opinion than the ugly steel winch bumpers etc etc.

So here's my solution to the speedo drive hole. Used a speedo drive bush, welded in a bit of 16mm bar, flushed it off and sprayed it black. I've also got the bracket and bolt to hold it in place.

While the transfer box was out I thought it would be rude not to buy an Extreme Bailey Morris propshaft made to a custom length to suit my truck, finished in slate grey. :D

As always, very nice
If you don't mind me asking, where's SWMBO when all the goodies arrive?
In fact, how do you get away with the time and expenditure?.......teach me:oops:

Ha ha, it is a struggle and I do get into trouble sometimes. Not so much with the money but the time spent working on him. I just say it's all in preparation for our holiday! The chassis job was a really tough one!

I have a problem and can't help myself! Ha ha ha

Completed my work on the transfer case, all went really well. Its a good job I got a new gearbox coupling looking at the state of my old one! Installed the box yesterday and working great, another thing ticked off the list. Happy days.

Been working on this oak phone mount which displays all my live data etc. Can't decide on the stain. Was thinking black to match the dash and not stand out so much. Then maybe spray the fake wood trim black. What do you think? (The phones not fully mounted by the way as its a very tight fit so only want to fit it properly after staining etc)
